A planned addition to an elementary school just west of Trenton was responsible for most of Quinte West’s building permit value last month.
A permit worth $8 million was issued for an addition to Murray Centennial Public School on County Road 40.
The addition will allow the school to welcome 170 more students.
Also in September, four building permits were issued for new single family houses valued at close to $2 million.
In tota,l 39 permits were issued valued at $12.8 million last month, up about $2 million from September of 2023.
