It’s been five months since the Belleville Senators ended the longest American Hockey League season in their seven-year history. Tonight (Friday) begins what the B-Sens hope will be an even longer road in Season 8.
Belleville is home to the Laval Rocket at 7 p.m. and the Toronto Marlies on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock in what will be their only two exhibition games ahead of next Friday’s season opener in Rochester.
There are 30 players currently on Belleville’s training camp roster which will be reduced to 25 or fewer after the weekend.
There are still a few players with the Ottawa Senators who could be returned to Belleville before the start of the season.
The B-Sens home opener is October 19 against Utica.
Tonight’s game is at 7 o’clock and Sunday’s at 3 p.m. at the CAA Arena.
