The City of Belleville has fenced off a portion of a park north of Maitland Drive.
Officials say Bird Park has been identified as having a drainage issue directly over the Trans Northern Pipeline in the Settlers Ridge subdivision.
City staff are working with pipeline staff and indicate the work involves a complex process that requires careful planning and coordination.
The municipality indicates once the permits are secured, a new drain line will be installed, while new wood fibre will be laid for added safety.
