There were tense moments in Quinte West early Thursday morning.
At around 2:30 a passerby noticed a natural gas leak along Glen Miller Road north of Trenton.
Quinte West fire department and OPP responded to the scene which was at an Enbridge sub-station north of Johnstown Road.
A pressure valve had burst and gas was spewing from the rupture.
Enbridge crews were called in and by around 3:15 had stopped the leak.
The neighbourhood did not have to be evacuated.
