September was a huge month when it comes to approvals for construction projects in Prince Edward County.
Sixty-three building permits were issued by the county’s building department worth a whopping $164 million.
However, just one project made up the lion’s share of that number.
The construction value for the new Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital was $140 million.
There was a handful of permits for new houses, valued at between $500,000 and $800,000.
In September of last year, just thirty-three permits were issued with a value of only $2.6 million.
