The Best of the Bay 2024 results are in naming the region’s favourites in more than 50 categories.
More than 4,400 surveys were filled out under the themes of Food + Drink, Shop or Service, Regionscape, and Art + Culture, all for the fourth Best of the Bay awards presented by the the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board.
Nominations were eligible for businesses in the board’s partner communities, including Belleville, Brighton, Greater Napanee, Quinte West and The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.

“Best of the Bay is a hyper local campaign for residents to celebrate our local small businesses, which are so important to this region, says Dug Stevenson, Bay of Quinte’s Executive Director. “The ones whose owners work so hard to give an excellent experience day in and day out and that are a part of people’s weekly routines.”
Some of the winners include:
● Tomasso’s for best restaurant, for the fourth year in a row
● Burger Revolution won the best burger for the fourth year in a row
● The Empire Theatre won for both best theatre and best live music venue
● Presqu’ile Provincial Park won for best birdwatching spot
● Barbacoa Boyz won for best pop–up vendor
Winning businesses are awarded a physical and digital Best of the Bay decal to display in their storefront windows and online, along with bragging rights for being named the Best of the Bay by the community.

Everyone who voted was entered into a draw to win gift cards to spend at their choice of winning businesses. Deepakk B. of Quinte West is the $500 grand prize winner.
An additional $500 in smaller prizes have also been awarded.
