Lennox & Addington OPP have provided an update on a fatal motor vehicle collision in the Enterprise area northeast of Napanee late Monday morning.
Police say a person spotted debris on County Road 14 by Tower Road, just west of Enterprise, and found a vehicle in the ditch half submerged in water.
No one was seen in or around the vehicle and emergency services was called.
The fire department, paramedic services and police attended the scene.
Firefighters then searched the vehicle and the water surrounding it and discovered the lone driver a short distance away from the vehicle.
The driver, a 36 year old from Deseronto, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation by police revealed that the vehicle may have left the road and entered the ditch the previous night.
An investigation remains ongoing with the help from Technical Collision Investigators and a Collision Reconstructionist.
