A man was arrested after police receiving a report of a handgun displayed in downtown Belleville. Officers with Belleville police responded to the report of a man displaying what appeared to be a handgun near the corner of Bridge and Church streets around 11 a.m. on Sunday. When police located the man, they found a handgun-style pellet gun. The 52-year-old man, who was not identified by police, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing Monday.
