The Belleville General Hospital Foundation has announced its 25th annual gala was another major success.
The masquerade-themed night on September 21 collected $380,000 for priority medical equipment.
Foundation Executive Director Steve Cook says the last five years have raised $2.6 million for priority medical equipment. He says it is for purchasing across the hospital.
“Whether that’s oncology, or advanced diagnostics, or on this occasion a bed replacement program, we love working with the community.”
He says buying beds is not for the faint of heart.
“These beds range from $100,000 down to $16,000. They really play a role in every department throughout the hospital, whether that’s the maternal child program through to intensive care.”
