Prince Edward County OPP are continuing an investigation after a six-year-old was struck by a vehicle.
The incident happened on Friday around 7:30 p.m. at a campground at Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Police say the vehicle ran over the child’s leg and left the scene.
Officers were contacted about two hours later and met with the family at a local hospital.
The six-year-old was transferred to a regional trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A car was seen in the area at that time, but investigators are now asking to hear from anyone else who may have seen the incident.
