The Small Business Centre in Belleville has announced that applications are open for its 2024 Enabling Accessibility Fund.
In a release, the centre says the initiative aims to promote accessibility and inclusivity within small businesses and community organizations.
The program provides up to $12,000 in grants to help make significant improvements to accessibility within the Bay of Quinte.
Among some of the funded projects under the grant include adaptive sports equipment, accessible sensory rooms, noise-canceling headphones, FM loop systems, screen readers, website modifications, raised garden beds, accessible doors, ramps, and audio-visual fire alarms.
There is a free virtual information session detailing more about the fund.
Applicants are required to complete the application and submit it to the lead of the fund, Amy Rushlow, for an additional community impact question before final submission.
The deadline for applications is November 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
Submissions can be made to amy.rushlow@smallbusinessctr.com.
