Lennox & Addington OPP have laid charges following a head-0n collision in Loyalist Township.
Police responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision on Thorpe Road just before 5 p.m. on Friday.
The fire department and paramedic services were also called to the scene.
There was only one person in each vehicle in the collision.
A female driver was taken to hospital by paramedics with minor injuries.
Officers subsequently arrested a male driver, who did not sustain any injuries, and was taken to the Napanee Detachment of the OPP for testing.
Sisty-six-year-old John Magill of Odessa was charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
- Operation causing bodily harm
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 8, 2024.
