Residents on the municipal water system in Madoc are currently under a boil water advisory.
The precautionary advisory was issued Thursday.
An announcement on the Centre Hastings website states standards were unable to be met due to maintenance and system limitations.
On Wednesday the municipality asked residents to reduce water consumption due to emergency maintenance and repairs on one of the municipal drinking water wells systems.
