Emergency services banded together on the weekend to quickly locate a missing three-year-old child.
Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP received a request to assist in the search for a child who had wandered away from their residence.
The child had been missing for approximately 20 minutes and there was concern due to the proximity to a busy roadway and a heavily wooded area.
Emergency Services began a grid search to cover the area.
The child was located less than an hour later and returned safely to the family.
