A 30-year-old woman has been charged, following a domestic investigation by Belleville police.
On Saturday evening, officers attended a west-end residence, regarding an alleged assault.
Officers say a woman was physically assaulted, sustaining injury.
The name of the accused is not being released to protect the victims identity.
