Sixteen-year-old Belleville native Francis Brennan went down under and captured a bronze medal in the mens’ 4 x 100 freestyle relay at the 2024 Jr Pan Pacific Championships in Canberra Australia.
Brennan, a student at Bayside Secondary School and a member of the Belleville Beast Swim Team shared the podium with teammates Laon Kim, Ethan Ekk and Aiden Norman.
Brennan also qualified for the B finals in each of his six individual events and set three personal bests.
The competition included teams from Australia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and the United States.
Swimming Canada sent a team of 30 swimmers to the international event.
