A Marmora resident is raking in the cash after a major win in Lotto 6/49.
John Maloney won a second prize draw worth $103,636.30 in the June 15 draw.
He said that when he was scanning his tickets, he had to have the store clerk confirm he was seeing the correct amount.
“I was checking a few tickets at the same store where I usually buy them,” said Maloney. “I only check them every few months. This particular ticket was the last one I scanned.”
With his windfall, John hopes to complete some home renovations and save the rest for his retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at ESSO on Matthew Street in Marmora.
