The first ever Domino’s Dough Drive raised $18,630 for The Children’s Foundation on Wednesday.
For one day, Domino’s in Trenton, Napanee, and Belleville were selling a medium cheese, pepperoni, or green pepper pizza for $4.99 with 100% of the money going to support The Children’s Foundation.
In a press release from The Children’s Foundation, they say that the four Domino’s restaurants collectively sold 3,726 pizzas.
The foundation says that funds raised will help support under-served children and youth through programming offered by The Children’s Foundation that provides opportunities to play sports, go to camp, learn new skills, attend post-secondary education, and more.
“Words can’t even describe how happy we all are on how successful the Dough Drive was,” Seth Nagendran, Director of Development for Domino’s locations said in the release.
“A strong community doesn’t just happen; it is built by the collective efforts of those who care.”
Melanie Cressman, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation, also spoke about the fundraiser.
“What an incredible day! Through the busyness of the day, it was clear that the Domino’s team is like a family – and consummate professionals,” Cressman said in the release.
“Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this day a success including the Domino’s staff and leadership teams, TCF Volunteers, and everyone who purchased a pizza. We are incredibly grateful for this corporate partnership and are thrilled by the number of kids who will benefit from this generosity. Thank you.”
