An eight-year-old girl is preparing to host her fourth annual fundraiser for Hospice Prince Edward, and is hoping to hit a new milestone this year.
Amelia Struthers will be hosting her fourth annual lemonade stand at Hudson’s Diagnostics in Picton on August 21.
The annual event is a tribute to her late grandfather, Paul Moore, who passed away in the care of Hospice Prince Edward.
Over the years she has raised $8000, with $1500 raised in her last season. Every dollar raised is donated directly to Hospice Prince Edward. This year, she hopes to break the $10,000 total raised milestone.
Hospice Prince Edward offers critical support for those facing life-limiting illness at no cost to families, relying heavily on community donations for its annual operating budget.
