Some changes to the City’s of Belleville’s Corporate Services Department.
Effective this Monday, August 19, Human Resources will merge into the newly constituted Corporate Services department.
It will be led by current Director of Human Resources, Marie Doherty who will oversee Human Resources, Corporate Services and the Clerk’s Office.
CAO Matt MacDonald says combining these services into one department will allow the City to streamline its internal and external operations.
“Marie has proven to be an effective leader in her previous position as Director of Human Resources,” said Mayor Neil Ellis. “On behalf of Belleville City Council, I would like to congratulate Marie on her new role. We look forward to what she will bring to this new department going forward.”
As part of the transitions, the City will also be hiring a separate City Clerk position.
Applications for this new position will open in the coming days.
