Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings (HFHPEH) has received almost $15,000 from the Belleville Senators, raised through 50/50 draws during the 2023-24 season.
Over the course of the last season, 28 Habitat volunteers sold 50/50 tickets at several B-Sens games.
Hazzem Koudsi, CEO of Habitat for Humanity PEH remarked, “Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings is proud to be a partner of the Belleville Senators as a charitable recipient of the funds raised during in-game 50/50 draws. We were pleased to mobilize our volunteer force who truly enjoyed the experience of interacting with members of our community during the games, while supporting the fundraising goals of Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings that helps hard-working families in our community achieve their dream of homeownership which in turn supports our local economy. We look forward to continuing this very productive relationship into the future.”
Along with selling 50/50 tickets at Belleville Senators games, Habitat for Humanity PEH volunteers also help at their ReStore location at 365 Bell Blvd. in Belleville as well as their newly opened location at 266 Dundas St. East in Trenton. Meg Langton, Homeownership and HR Program Coordinator notes, “Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to contact me and discuss the opportunities we currently have to support our affiliate, as well as any future projects we are preparing to undertake.”
