Last month was a quieter month when it comes to planned building projects in Belleville than it was in July of last year.
The city’s Engineering and Development Department says 51 building permits were issued in July with a construction value totaling just over $15.6 million.
In July of last year 70 permits were issued valued at almost $30 million. Over half of that total came from a permit issued to Loyalist College worth $16 million.
Meanwhile the biggest project getting a permit last month was for a distribution warehouse and self-storage units at 20 Blessington Road. That project was valued almost $6.3 million.
Permits were issued for 4 single-family dwellings in July.
