A 55-year-old man has been held for a bail hearing on a charge of assault.
Monday afternoon, a woman attended Belleville Police Service headquarters to report she was a victim of a domestic assault earlier in the day.
Investigation led to the arrest of the 55-year-old man who has not been identified.
