Passed away in his 94th year at the Bridge Hospice, Warkworth on Friday, July 26th, 2024.
Beloved husband of the late Tine Lisle. Loving father to Joanne (Tim) Matthewman, Stephanie Lisle, Melanie (Dave) Gilchrist, grandchildren Desiree (Carey) Smith, Joshua (Megan) and Adrian Matthewman (Elaine) and great-grandchildren Lucy, Heidi, Dean Smith and James Matthewman. Predeceased by daughter Rose Lisle. Survived by his siblings Betty Jean (B.J.) McHugh and Fran Spencer. Also survived by sister-in-law, Mary Lisle. Predeceased by siblings Marie Young, Bernice McKeown, Madeline Simpson, John Lisle, and Claire “Chuck” Lisle. Robert will be fondly remembered by Suzanne (Dave) Mainprize and their daughter Annika. Robert was a lifelong resident of Seymour Township. Farming and the outdoors were a huge part of his life as well as being very active within the community. His legacy will be ever remembered by his family, friends and anyone he was involved with.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Weaver Family Funeral Home, 77 Second Street, Campbellford with funeral service to follow at 1:30 pm. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
