Officers with Quinte West OPP have caught significantly more drivers speeding so far this year when compared to the same period last year.
From January through June officers laid 1,437 speeding charges.
In the first six months of last year 324 fewer charges were laid, at 1,113.
Meanwhile Highway Traffic Act charges in the first half of this year also increased substantially, to
2,389 from 2,014 last year.
