The Quinte region received a nice drenching of rain Tuesday but it wasn’t anywhere near the record rainfall for a July 16.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, 27 millimetres or just over an inch of rain fell Tuesday.
However, the record for the date was set 73 years ago in 1951 when almost 71 mm, or close to three inches of rain soaked the area.
