Construction activity remains behind 2023 in Prince Edward County.
The Building Department reports 53 permits with a construction value of $5.1 million were issued last month.
In June 2023, there were 81 permits worth $13.7 million.
There were three permits granted for new homes, including secondary suites.
Year-to-date construction activity in the county is also behind last year’s figures.
Through the first six months of 2024, there has been $73.9 million in construction through 333 permits.
There were 401 permits worth $103.2 million through the end of June last year.
