Gift from the Heart, a mobile dental clinic that assists people who need dental care, is looking for a place to host an upcoming clinic event in Prince Edward County.
During Tuesday’s Prince Edward County council meeting, Gift from the Heart’s Community Engagement Liaison Jimmy McLean, spoke to council about plans to hold dental hygiene clinics in the area. During these events they will provide teeth cleaning services and other dental care to those unable to access it.
While they have plans to hold an event in Prince Edward County on July 5, they have not been able to secure a location.
After the deputation, Councillor Phil Prinzen put forward a motion to direct municipal staff to help them find a location where they can set up their mobile clinic.
The motion passed without debate.
