“Figures at the moment coming in, we’re talking about a gross over $124,000. You speak to the people that have attended, everyone is in incredible spirits, they’re all passionate about the hospital and it’s another great day of support.”
“Fairways for Fractures, in support of the future fracture clinic redevelopment. Obviously through the Ministry of Health, that’s changed over the years. We’re not quite sure how that will look. But we know that at some point there will be a regeneration of the clinic and it is one of the busiest clinics within BGH.”

BELLEVILLE, ON – Belleville General Hospital Foundation (BGHF) is thrilled to announce the extraordinary success of its 2024 annual golf tournament, which raised a record-breaking $124,350 to support the future expansion of the Fracture Clinic at Quinte Health, Belleville General Hospital.
The event, held on Thursday, June 20, at Black Bear Ridge, saw the business community, sponsors, and players come together in unwavering support of their regional hospital.
Not even 40+ degrees Celsius temperatures or a dramatic thunderstorm that ended play late in the day could dampen the spirit of giving and fun.
“The Fairways for Fractures Golf Tournament has become a cornerstone event for our community,” said Steve Cook, Executive Director of BGHF. “Surpassing the $120,000 mark is an incredible achievement. Our heartfelt thanks go to Title Sponsors McDowell’s Your Independent Grocer Belleville and Alexander Wilson Architect for their loyal support. I also want to thank all our donors, sponsors and volunteers. You make everything we do possible.”
Over the past six years, Fairways for Fractures has raised more than $524,000, which will significantly contribute to the capital improvements and development of the Fracture Clinic at BGH.
“The Fracture Clinic serves over 10,000 visits annually, making it one of the busiest departments at BGH,” noted Tracy Bray, Board Chair, BGHF. “These funds raised will be crucial in transforming this space to provide top-notch care for our community. The success of this year’s event brings us a significant step closer to realizing this vision, thanks to the unwavering generosity of our sponsors and donors.”
Participants enjoyed a premium golf experience, including delectable offerings from Black Bear Ridge, Burger Revolution, Montana’s, alongside refreshing beverages from Spearhead Brewing Company/Skeleton/Signal. The event was filled with fun activities and competitions across the course.
