Break, Enter and Theft
On June 18, 2024 at 10:08 a.m., Belleville police attended an address on Hwy #37 regarding a break and enter into a business. Upon arrival, officers learned that sometime overnight, unknown suspects broke into the business and stole a quantity of alcohol. Police are continuing the investigation. Mischief to vehicle
On June 18, 2024 at 6 a.m., Belleville police responded to an address on Sidney Street after receiving reports that a male had just smashed out a car window and broke one of the side mirrors. Upon arrival, police spoke to the parties involved. Police learned that there had been a dispute between tenants over a parking spot. One of the involved parties then proceeded to break the other person’s car window and side mirror in anger. Police remained on scene and mediated the dispute. In the end, the person responsible for the damage apologized and payed for the damages in lieu of charges.
