Work is underway to prepare for the widening of Highway 62 in Belleville, just north of the 4-0-1.
Ministry of Transportation Official Bob Nicholls says telephone, hydro, natural gas and cable television lines are being relocated along that section of 62, and will continue through the summer.
Tenders for the widening of 62 between the 4-0-1 and Ashley Street, from two lanes to five lanes, with a continuous centre left turn lane, will be called later this year.
That work will begin next year, and should be finished in 2011.
