Not your typical school bus ride at Brighton Speedway

Brighton Speedway didn’t go to school Saturday night so the school came to Brighton Speedway.  Or at least the school buses did –  15 of them for the popular 15-lap main event won by Frank Flieler.

With a capacity crowd on hand for the main stock car card, Napanee’s Doug O’Blenis took the lead on the first lap and never gave it back to win the 25-lap Canadian Modified race.
That ended Ron Wadforth’s three-race winning streak.

Justin Ramsay took the lead on lap 3 to lead the packed field of 26 cars to the finish line in the Thunder Stocks division.

Other winners were Josh Bogaard in the Comp 4 and Caleb Severin sailing to his third checkers of the season in the Mini Stock.
