Belleville police have laid charges following a domestic violence call early Sunday morning.
Officers received a call from a person in Australia, advising them a relative had been assaulted by her husband in Belleville.
Police spoke with an alleged victim and charges have been laid against a 42-year-old Belleville man.
He was charged with assault.
