The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is gearing up for one of the year’s largest fundraisers.
It also is one of the biggest golf tournaments on the Quinte regions annual calendar.
The John Smylie Golf Classic will descend on Oak Hills Golf Club on Friday August 9.

“It’s a huge tournament and it’s such a fantastic day for the golfers and for Trenton Memorial Hospital. We have amazing hole in ones. Again, at the end of the day, you’re supporting such a great cause.”
The foundation’s goal is to raise $8 million over the next three years, with tournament proceeds going to the expansion and renovation of the emergency department.
“This is for equipment that’s going to go into the ER expansion that was just newly announced so really exciting for the community.”
Tee times are available between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and there are still openings to golf or sponsor.
