A landmark property on Belleville’s west hill could be revived in future years.
At its meeting Monday afternoon, city council will decide whether or not to ask
for proposals from developers to build housing on
the former Queen Mary School property at Catharine and Octavia streets.
A staff report suggests proposals should include various housing types and should
include affordable housing units.
Staff suggests the playground and community gardens areas remain as a community space.
An updated building condition report on the school building is also being recommended.
Belleville council meets at 4 o’clock Monday at City Hall.
