On the 4th of June at 2:00pm, Belleville Police responded to an east end apartment building after witnesses observed a male in the courtyard suffering injuries including a stab wound.
Officers arrived on scene and located the victim who had suffered minor facial injuries and a small puncture wound but refused medical attention.
During the police investigation, it was learned that four individuals some of whom were known to the victim had entered his vehicle and attacked him. The victim exited his car at which point the suspects stole the vehicle. At 3:30pm, Belleville Police located the stolen vehicle at a residence on Airport Parkway unoccupied.
Officers contained the house and two of the four robbery suspects exited the residence and surrendered to police. A 42-year-old male and a 35-year-old female both of no fixed address are charged with Robbery and Theft of a motor vehicle. The male is additionally charged with two counts of breach of probation.
The female additionally had two outstanding warrants for failing to attend court on charges of forcible entry, trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime. Both were held for a bail hearing. The two remaining suspects were not located. Anyone with any information regarding the incident are asked contact the Belleville Police Service of Crime Stoppers.
