Breach of Undertaking
On May 21, 2024 at 9:15 p.m., Belleville police officers responded to a disturbance call in the city’s west end. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the involved parties who had been involved in a heated argument over property items. During the investigation, police learned that one of the males, a 22-year-old Belleville resident, was currently breaching his release conditions by being outside his residence past 9 p.m. As a result, police arrested and charged the male with breaching his release conditions. He was held for a bail hearing.
Break and enter into a business
On May 21, 2024 at 8:15 a.m., employees of a business on Coleman St arrived at work to discover that at 10:24 p.m. the previous night, unknown suspects broke into the business and stole a cash box and a set of keys belonging to a vehicle in the parking lot. The suspects then stole the vehicle. Police attended and began an investigation. Police located the empty cash box and were able to locate the stolen vehicle. Police are continuing the investigation.
