A man faces mischief and other charges in connection with an incident last fall when a motorbike was driven inside an apartment building on Haig Road.
Belleville police and fire responded to the building on the afternoon of October 16 after a male allegedly rode a gas-powered motorbike inside the building which set off the carbon monoxide detectors.
The building had to be evacuated and vented before residents could reenter.
Police located the male driving the motorbike away from the apartment building and he was not wearing a helmet.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of 38-year-old Garrett Jackson of Belleville.
Monday evening, police conducted a traffic stop in the east end and identified the driver as Jackson.
He was arrested on charges of mischief, driving with no licence and not wearing a helmet.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date in June.
