Prince Edward County OPP has lifted a shelter in place advisory for residents in Picton.
Residents in the east end were advised to shelter in place and lock all windows and doors around 3:30 a.m. Monday due to an ongoing investigation.
There was an increased police presence in the east end of Picton from Union Street to Harvey Street and from Church Street to Pineridge Drive.
Police say their investigation is continuing but there is no longer an immediate threat to public safety.
No other details have been released.
