Lennox and Addington OPP have laid drug trafficking charges after seizing drugs at a Greater Napanee home.
On Wednesday, the Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Meadow Lane. Drugs were seized, including suspected cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine tablets. Paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking, cell phones, and Canadian currency were also seized.
Three people were arrested and charged with various offences.
Barbara Norman, 40 years old, and Rebecca Norman-Hill, 21 years old, both of Napanee, and Kaila Peets, 39 years old, of Amherstview are charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
Norman-Hill was additionally charged with three counts of failure to comply with a probation order, while Norman was also charged with failure to comply with a probation order, and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs.
Norman was held pending a bail hearing, while the other two accused were released with a court date set for July 2 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee.
