The City of Belleville is pleased to announce that former mayor, Ross McDougall, has been awarded a Key to the City in honour of his commitment to Belleville.
Ross McDougall served as mayor of the City of Belleville from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, he served three terms as city councillor from 1980 to 1988. Ross is the CEO of McDougall Insurance and a huge supporter of local charities and organizations, providing funding and serving on numerous boards and committees including the Belleville General Hospital Foundation and United Way. He was invested as the Honorary Colonel of 8 Air Maintenance Squadron (8 AMS) at 8 Wing Trenton in December of 2019.
“Ross has been an incredible advocate for our city over the years,” said Mayor Neil Ellis. “From his time served as mayor and on Belleville City Council, to the organizations and causes he supports through his business, to his commitment to local boards and charities, he truly is a community champion. This is an opportunity for us to recognize his outstanding dedication and say thank you.”
