A vigilant building superintendent helped police nab a car thief red-handed.
Belleville police say they responded to an east end apartment around 4:00 this morning after the building’s super caught someone stealing from parked cars.
After continuing the arrest… police found the suspect had a connection to a truck stolen earlier in the night from the MacDonald Gardens area.
That truck was recovered and a 22 year old Belleville man faces numerous charges which include theft over 5000 dollars and carrying a concealed weapon.
Officers say the man had a narrow sword disguised as a walking stick.
