The City of Quinte West is seeking public input as it develops a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
The plan will provide strategic direction on how the city should invest in parks, open spaces and recreational facilities for the next 15 years.
The plan will review the current state of parks and recreation in Quinte West and create a framework to guide parks and recreation locations, planning, improvements and partnerships to meet the needs of the growing community.
Quinte West’s most recent Parks Master Plan was developed in 2007.
“Feedback from those who live, work and play in Quinte West is key to developing this plan,” said Jaclyn Grimmon, Director of Community Services and Strategic Partnerships. “Getting involved by sharing your thoughts and experiences about city parks, open spaces and recreation facilities is the best way to ensure the plan reflects the wants and needs of our community both now and for the future.”
There will be several opportunities for the community to provide feedback, ideas and priorities, including online surveys and a telephone questionnaire, as well as a public open house planned for August 2024.
An online public survey is open until June 16.
