With the Quinte International Air Show coming up at the end of June, preparations are well underway at CFB Trenton for the event.
Jacqueline St. Pierre, director of Sponsorship and Customer Experience of the Quinte International Air Show, gave an update to the Economic Development, Tourism, and Special Events Advisory Committee on the air show’s current progress.
She said that big things are in the works for the upcoming show.
“We have more than 100 members in the Italian Air Force,” said St. Pierre. “We’re still waiting for the U.S. to make their full commitment. So I can’t give you a full rundown of statistics, but there will be some pretty exciting planes that we’ll see for the first time at 8 Wing.”
In addition to the international delegation, heritage planes will be taking off and flying from one of the local runways, the Snowbirds will be performing, and a search and rescue demonstration will take place.
Other attractions include flight simulators and autographs from the pilots.
Tickets for the airshow are already on sale. More information can be found at the air show website here.
