Acting C-A-O Gary Dyke says the pyrotechnics can be set off between now and Victoria Day, although the noise bylaw prohibits it after midnight. No one under 18 is allowed to light the fireworks..
The other times they’re allowed in Quinte West are Canada Day, Labour Day and New Year’s Day. Fireworks in Belleville are permitted only on Victoria Day and July First, although requests for other times of the year will be considered by the Fire Department.
