Wednesday’s Work in Quinte Career Fair was one of the most successful ever.
“We’ve already seen over 600 job seekers come through the door and it’s typically the number we see for the entirety of the event. So this has been a fairly significant increase in job seekers coming to our Work in Quinte Career Fair this year.”
She says there are likely many reasons for the big turnout.
“We’ve seen that a lot of our local employers are looking to hire. We’ve got over 500 job vacancies and we did an excellent job, our team, of communicating this event. We’ve got a lot of new people coming to the area and looking to work. So this has just been a great opportunity for us to connect those job seekers to our local employers.”
Job fairs are held in the spring and fall.
If you missed Wednesday’s job fair, head to the Work in Quinte website where you can find job openings and even upload your resume to their database which many employers use.
