Prince Edward County is partnering with Loyalist College in a new project to offer transportation for healthcare students.
Prince Edward County Council approved the launch of the new HealthPULSE Shuttle during Tuesday’s council meeting, to help students studying for healthcare jobs at Loyalist College participate in work programs at healthcare providers and care homes like H. J. McFarland in Prince Edward County.
While the pilot for the shuttle will only include H.J. McFarland, plans are on the table to expand the service.
The project is being funded by Loyalist College.
The buses are expected to begin in May.
