A protest is planned for today (Friday) at the Rossmore office of Bay of Quinte riding MPP and Minister of Energy Todd Smith.
The protest is being organized by Nicole Chevalier and supported by the Bay of Quinte Green Party of Ontario and will be focused on the recently introduced Bill 165, known as “Keeping Energy Costs Down Act.”
Chevalier calls the act “Bill 165, the Stickin’ it to Consumers Act” saying it allows gas companies to charge its current customers fees to help pay for new gas lines for future homes.
The protest is scheduled for noon. Quinte News will provide coverage.
