Details are coming, but the MP for Bay of Quinte riding says good news will soon be coming from VIA Rail.
Ryan Williams says he recently met with VIA Rail regarding the growing need to bring back early morning train service, specifically Train 651, that ran between Kingston and Toronto with stops in the Quinte region until it was cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Williams says VIA executives assured him that an announcement would be made soon regarding early morning rail service through the Quinte area.
