Quinte West OPP have charged a person following the execution of a search warrant in Quinte West.
On April 16, 2024, at approximately 06 a.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and members of the Quinte West OPP, executed a search warrant at a residence on O’Neil Crescent, Trenton, as part of a drug trafficking investigation. An individual was arrested and a firearm, cash, ammunition, suspected cocaine, oxycodone, MDMA (ecstasy), amphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms) and other items suspected to be related to drug trafficking were confiscated.
Michael Bolger, 43 years old from Quinte West was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Careless storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of a firea rm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – in Canada
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
